We are having an open house at the:

Green energy may be defined as the form and utilization of energy with no minimal, or reduced negative environmental and societal impact, or simply as environmentally friendly energy use.

Green power comes from renewable resources such as solar, wind, small/low impact hydropower, and bio mass, which is energy created from organic materials such as wood, plant material, and landfill gases.

Not only is the environmental impact of harvesting, producing, and using green energy less than burning conventional petroleum based materials such as oil and coal, but the sources of green energy are sustainable and renewable, making them available for future generations.

One of our goals is to offer low start-up, operational and processing costs for green business projects. We will achieve this by offering “not-for-profit” service and brokerage of renewable fuels and energy, biomass, and locally found natural gas with low-cost advantage.

Utilizing agriculture, forestry and fisheries production waste, for use in biodiesel, wood pellets and briquets, methane production, and various value added products and processes, would be of particular interest to the Fundy Region. It is proposed to encourage new and innovative recycling projects.

It is our intention to foster business and community partnerships by offering opportunities for participation, investment and development in an innovative green Business Park, attracting manufacturers of Solar, Wind, Tidal, and Hydro-electric Components.

The Fundy Renewable Energy Park has the support of the Kings East Development Partnership, a regional group representing the Town of Sussex, Village of Sussex Corner., Chamber of Commerce, Local Service District Advisory Committees, as well as, Co-op Atlantic, SNB Wood Co-op, Woodlot Owners, Fundy Model Forest and the Enterprise Fundy network.
